Welcome to Kaapse Maria, the iconic gastropub in the heart of Rotterdam. With us, everyone is welcome at any time because coming together should always mean delicious food and great drinks. Whether you’re here for dinner, drinks, an event, a birthday, or a wedding, Kaapse Maria is the perfect place for you!

DRINKS

As a gastropub founded by a local craft brewery, we prioritize experimental fermentation in all its forms. We have 24 taps pouring a wide range of craft beers and ciders from around the world, with a special focus on sours and mixed fermentation. This interest is reflected in our selection of natural wines and our carefully curated cellar menu, where we store our favorite rare bottled beers and ciders to share with other curious enthusiasts.

FOOD

Our kitchen creates fresh, seasonal dishes that change weekly, depending on what’s fresh from the local farmers and markets where we source our ingredients. In addition to our commitment to local, seasonal, and organic vegetables and meats, our kitchen also responds to the many natural wines and craft beers and ciders we have behind the bar. Our knowledgeable staff is always ready to offer recommendations for the perfect pairing. Shared Dining Concept At Kaapse Maria, we have a shared dining concept, which is all about enjoying food together. Instead of individual dishes, we serve various dishes simultaneously on the table to share. This creates a cozy, informal atmosphere with something for everyone. Every month we have a new, seasonal menu full of surprises. Come by, enjoy the variety, and experience it yourself in good company! For groups larger than 10 people, we kindly ask that the menus be decided in advance.

Step into the upper left room with a table suitable for dinners up to 12 people or drinks with up to 15 people! Enjoy the cozy atmosphere while surrounded by the garden.

The Ballroom, our largest space, can accommodate up to 50 people. This beautiful street-facing room exudes elegance with lush greenery and a gorgeous fireplace. A perfect setting for special gatherings.

This middle space, connected to the stairs above, is perfect for groups up to 30 people. Here, you’ll find two tables: one suitable for a group of 18 people and the other for 8-10 people. The ideal spot for a cozy gathering.
